We get loads of requests for styled shoots at The Shack, so we’ve learnt a thing or two about making the most of the space. Here are some top tips (and a bit of photo inspo) to get those creative juices flowinnn.

Ensure your outfits fit the models well and that they feel comfortable wearing them. It’s also a good idea to bring backups or multiple options to allow for a variety of looks and shots.

Have multiple models lined up, so if someone backs out, your hard work doesn’t go to waste.

Use real couples and experience models for professionalism and authenticity.

Choose reliable suppliers & vendors. Our Little Black Book has lots of options.

Create a mood board to clearly communicate your vision to all your suppliers, ensuring everything comes together seamlessly.

Factor in time for a break for your suppliers, it will be a long day! Maybe provide some food, snacks or drinks for them (make sure to check for dietry requierments)

Arrive early to set up. You're allowed in from 09:00, so make the most of your time at the venue.

Start packing away in good time so you’re ready to leave at 17:00.

Bring a bin bag for any rubbish! Please leave the venue as you found it.

Create a shot list, not only will it help your photographer, but it will also keep the day organized and running smoothly.

Have a rainy day plan. Whilst we have great outdoor locations not all can be used in the rain.
